Did you ever wonder if your zodiac sign plays a role in the adventures you embark on? Turns out that they do 😉 Sagittarius people are adventurers and explorers, which explains part of the fact that I LOVE to travel, go on adventures and explore new places. GO SAILING ON A TALL SHIP ⛵️

How much fun it would be to be Jack Sparrow for a day or two? 🏴‍☠️ That specific thought only crossed my mind a few times before I started looking into pirate ships 😉 I quickly found something called the Tall Ships Races, which I joined a few times and I later on crewed as a live-aboard volunteer on a ship in Australia.

So what are Tall Ships Races you may wonder. Well, it’s “races designed to encourage international friendship and training for young people in the art of sailing. The races are held annually in European waters and consists of two racing legs of several hundred nautical miles, and a “cruise in company” between the legs.”

With having tried out sailing and LOVING it, I decided to explore what it would be like to be a live-aboard volunteer on a tall ship, for more than just a few weeks. This took me on a solo trip to the land “down under” 🇦🇺 where I basically enjoyed Jack Sparrow adventures daily (without the Rum and plundering that is 😉)

CANYONING

Rappelling down waterfalls and exploring hidden natural wonders is just some of the things you can expect. In my case, being terrified of heights, I went outside my comfort zone and put my fear to the test. Had I chickened out, I would have missed out on the raw beauty of nature, a fun adventure and an exhilarating experience. An outdoor activity I would recommend anyone to try at least once in their lifetime – even if it means confronting one of your fears.

With Planet Earth having so many magnificent natural wonders/locations, finding a canyoning spot should be easy 😉
